Automated Phone Tripod

• Collaborated on designing an innovative attachment to existing tripods that would allow users with wrist tendonitis or cerebral palsy to utilize a tripod with ease.

• Integrated an IR sensor and servos to an Arduino to control automatic wings to hold a phone in place.

• Calculated joint and structure bending and stiffness and force FEA to ensure that prototype functioned as specified.

• Evaluated manufacturing processes and cost of parts to mass-produce prototype for consumers.
